Interpretive trail

The interpretive trail about 250 meters long will immerse you in the boreal forest and is located behind the Musée Amérindien. Accompanied by one of our interpreter guides or by following the interpretative panels, you’ll learn more about the native flora of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region and its importance in the Pekuakamiulnuatsh’s way of life. You’ll also discover a wide variety of plants and trees with various uses and properties.

Accompanied by one of our interpreter guides, visit an Aboriginal camp to enjoy herbal tea and a slice of bannock, Aboriginal bread cooked on the fire. You’ll stay entertained with our various games of skill and meet elders from the community to hear about their life stories.

Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Participation of visitors in the creation of a collective work under the theme of reconciliation
